So instead we stayed around the house. Russ continued to fight the air conditioner, Garry and I watched movies and played games. Saturday night, one of my former students (who is from Hawaii) had a "tiki party" and invited us over. Since it turned out to be only about 8 houses down from ours, we went!
It was a good time: lots of Hawaiian-style food, music, talk about the islands... I took my iPad full of Hawaii pictures and showed them off. I'm sure we bored everyone senseless with our stories, but we had a good time. We're hoping to go back in January for some whale-watching!
Then on Sunday, Russ continued to repair the damage from the AC. By Sunday night, he decreed it finished.
(the inner closet, all repaired)
(the bedroom without piles and piles of clothes)
So, it wasn't a hectic weekend. Sort of relaxed. But it was a good one.
