Russ bought and brought home several loads of paving gravel, paving stones, cement mix, and lumber. He dug out the area for the firepit, put in the cement base. Then he started building the "wall".
Then, while Damian was trying to recover from a close brush with strep-throat, Russ called Juan and crew to have them pull down an old rotten tree down by the road and grind down the stumps. Sadly, it took longer than anticipated and Juan had to leave. But he left the grinder, so Russ took over and ground out all three stumps!
Garry took and axe and started chopping up the felled tree. We'll have plenty of wood to burn in the firepit when the lanai is finished!
