Christmas 2010

It's Christmas time in the Hart household.  That means a mixed bag of interesting stories.  First, the house is still a disaster.  The kitchen, ex-laundry room, and back porch are all under construction.  All the dishes are scattered around the house, tile-dust is everywhere.  It's a mess.  Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

But it's Christmas Day so let's see what went on!  Russ got up early and went out to get his Mom and bring her over.  Then he made breakfast.  It was supposed to snow and sure enough it did!  But, it only snowed through breakfast and presents...then it stopped.  In my book, that's perfect.

After breakfast, we went to the living room for the gift opening ceremony.  Once again, Russ played Santa's Elf and--although it was a bit more reserved than other years--we still had a nice haul.

...and a set of Mouse Ears.  Why?  Oh yea!  He's Going to Disney!

More gifts were exchanged.  Afterward, we all cleaned up and played with our toys.  Then Russ made lunch.  More playing.

Next up, The Three Of We headed out to visit with Garry's folks. This was a big deal.  When Garry came out of the closet, his mom and dad didn't react well.  But his Gramma did.  We love his Gramma.  So when we found out she was going to be at the folks, Garry called to say that The Three of We were coming out to see Gramma.  So we did.

Stories are Exchanged.  There Is Much Laughter.

Finally it was time to go as the weather predicted a ton of snow.  We went out to Garry's Dad's "Shed of Solitude" for a few minutes of visiting.  In a touching show of emotion, Dad grabbed Garry and says, "I'm proud of my son and I love him!"  It was a HUGE moment.

Then The Three Of We climbed in the car and drove home.  It was a great Christmas, sharing our love and laughter with our dear, dear friends.  We can't wait to see what adventures await...
