Today was a sort of "free-for-all" day. We woke up a bit late (so sue us!) then had a delicious Russell breakfast.
After that, Damian went down to the resort's gym to do some lifting and working out while everyone else... well...just lazed about....
No. Really they were getting ready for their adventures. You see, yesterday Garry had taken his folks down to the Harley Davidson shop and rented them a "hawg" to ride around the island. So today....they rode!
Having never been on Oahu (and its weird, congested, convoluted traffic) they were a bit reserved about the whole idea. But not too much! Because shortly after waking up...they were gone!
Meanwhile---Russ, Damian, Garry (the younger), and Mom Edna walked up and down the strip shopping!
We eventually landed at Hula's for...oh...10am drinks! Mojitos, Mai-Tais, Coconut Margauritas. Oh..and a Rum-and-Coke. Here's the view from the balcony of the bar.
We had great fun at Hulas. The bartender was a hoot. When Mom Edna asked for a Rum-and-Coke, he asked, "What brand of Rum?" She--without a moment of hesitation--replied, "Oh Bacardi." I turned to the guy and said, "How does my sweet Mum know the difference between different brands of Rum?"
He said, "Oh honey. She was here last night and drank me under the table!" Hahaha! He got a good tip.
Then we walked back down the trip and shopped. T-shirts, hats, trinkets, dresses, etc., were purchased.
Meanwhile, Dad Garry and Mom Lisa were tooling around the island all by themselves. Apparently, they had a great time!
Then it was time for sunset. Yup...still pretty.
We finally ended up back in the room where Russell made another fabulous meal. Then we completely missed the new Friday night fireworks show because the new Trump "Tower" resort blocked our view.
After that it was coffee and dessert. Then....bedtime.
ALOHA!
